Herein lies my various musing and explorations of media and gadgets and how to get the best from the modern technological world. Quite broad and vague, but ultimately this blog is about what I like tinkering around with and I have numerous interests. Throughout they share the common theme of how best to get the most from them, be it well informed usage, hacking, customisation and breaking beyond initial designs.

I’m currently employed at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe based in Soho, London, working as a programmer on the never ending SingStar franchise.

Within this blog I write about numerous topics:-

• Computer games and their development – I have worked in the games industry for nearly 10 years and have amassed much experience and a broad range of programming and database skills. I’m also an avid gamer and enjoy getting stuck into great games.
• Hi-Fi / Home Cinema – I have an active interest in the best home Hi-Fi and cinema kit, how to achieve the best sound and present my favourite music/films in the most enjoyable way.
• Gadgets at home and in the car – What are the best electronic gadgets out there, the most useful and how to get the most from them. Mostly gear for the home or in the car to aid driving.
• Music – What’s hot, what’s new, who performed what with who; my taste in music wide and deep; rock, metal, industrial, goth, punk, electronica, techno, ambient, electroclash, indie, blues to classical.
• Film – We all enjoy a good film, whether is a audio-visual bonanza to showcase my home cinema, or a low budget, gritty thriller where story and acting are everything.
